Under the supervision of the Director of Distribution & Supply Chain, the Warehouse Associate is responsible to ensure that all products are received, inventoried, picked and shipped while strictly following GMP guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). The Warehouse Associate is also responsible to perform other duties such as general housekeeping, inventory checks and quality assurance checks, on a regular basis to ensure product integrity. The Warehouse Associate will have limited supervision and must be able to work independently and use sound judgment.

Principal Accountabilities

Receiving

• Receive and unload incoming products and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment

• Inspect, sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received

• Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify Quality Assurance of findings

• Responsible for accurately receiving, reporting, and distributing purchased items

• Stock shelves in the warehouse ensuring that product is allocated to the correct pick location

Shipping

• Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements

• Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock

• Notify the Purchasing Coordinator of shortages

• Package and ship in accordance with SOP, packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices this includes cold chain and ambient packaging

• Maintain product stock in work area

• Organize pick tickets and cross check against FedEx End of Day reports

Material Handling

• Read Pick tickets and verify the material matches the pick ticket order

• Verify all numbers the lot number and expiry date matches the pick worksheet and the product.

• Notify the Manager of problems with the orders

• Adjust work orders as required when the material is short, according to the work order

• Monitor packaging material supplies and notify the Purchasing Coordinator when materials need to be reordered

• Operate mechanical equipment (dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift) in loading and unloading material and equipment

• Use RF Scanner to conduct inventory transactions such as receiving, picking, packing and stocking

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Qualifications

* High School diploma and at least two years of previous working experience preferably in a Pharmaceutical/GMP facility
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis
* High attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer service
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Computer Literate, SAP knowledge an asset
* Excellent problem solving, thinking skills and good independent judgment are required

WORK HOURS:

37.5 hours per week
