We are hiring a Sr. Technical Analyst – IT Engineering Networking.

Reporting to the IT Manager, Engineering, the purpose of the role is to assist with the creation and implementation of standardized infrastructure solutions required for IT projects. He/she will operate under the technical direction of Sr. Technical Analyst, IT Engineering and the Infrastructure Solution Lead.

The Technical Analyst, IT Engineering is responsible for mapping the solution design to lower level specifications under the guidance of the Sr. Technical Analyst, implementing existing technology standards and participating in the definition of standard components in their area of expertise. Overall the Technical Analyst, IT Engineering will partner with the Infrastructure Solution Lead to implement standardized infrastructure solutions for IT projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

1.Responsible for creating and maintaining Infrastructure Standards components for each technology domain, in line with defined or emerging infrastructure architecture standards. This may include includes aspects related to deployment, monitoring, supportability, maintenance, recovery, work effort, costing, etc.

2.Under the direction of Sr. Technical Analyst and Infrastructure Solution Lead contribute to the solution design documentation within their area of expertise, confirm standards suitability, technology risk and capacity planning

3.Provide technical execution for non-production environments in respective area of expertise, in support for IT projects and for creation of new infrastructure standards

4.Act as the custodian of the assigned technology domain standards and associated documentation, maintain a standards catalogue

5.Troubleshoot infrastructure performance issues, work with Infrastructure Solution Lead to analyze and identify issues/problems and develop resolution plans

6.Support QA team during test phases for infrastructure related issues

7.Consult and support Infrastructure Solution Lead to provide work effort estimates, project status, updates, risk, etc.

8.Provide Level 3 support for production incidents related to the assigned technology, engage third party vendors for the technical aspects of the incident as needed

9.Participate and provide technology SME in the project hand-over to Operations teams

10.Research and evaluate external software and hardware tools

11.Prepare, interpret and present data for various management presentations and reports

Skills and Experience:


1.Proven expertise in Platform Compute, and good knowledge in a second technology domain: Middleware, Database, Networking, Virtualization

* Design & Build Level experience with SUSE 10 & 11 or RedHat 5 & 6
* Design & Build Level experience with Windows 2003 & 2008 server OS platforms
* Solid understanding of Server Based Network Configurations
* Experience with SAN and NAS solutions
* Server Based HA principles

2.Hands on experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation

3.Excellent troubleshooting skills

4.Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

5.Capable to work under minimum supervision

6.Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Education & Job Knowledge:

1.University degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Sciences or a related field.


1.A minimum of 3 years’ IT related experience

2.Hands-on experience in a Linux enterprise environment

3.Exposure to creating infrastructure design solutions, building and supporting development/integration/test environments

4.Hands on experience in creating documentation – design, build, operations, knowledge base
